The arena seemed packed full of students, and people were cheering from the top of their lungs. They knew what today was. On the floor of the arena within the Duel Colosseum, were 5 duel fields all set up. As students awaited, a beautiful adult female voice called out two names.
“Will Shinzo Katetsu and “The Grave” Please report to field #3 to begin your exam!! I repeat, will Shinzo Katetsu and “The Grave” please report to field #3 to begin your exam!” As she spoke these words, an emo looking zombie-like kid wearing Slifer Red began walking up to the duel arena. He seemed covered in dirt as well, as though he was buried for some time. His duel disk looked as though it was a tomb stone hanging off his arm. The duelist wouldn’t speek, just await his opponent to arrive.

Shinzo ran to the dueling field and load his duel disk."Ok time for me to shine"said Shinzo as he got ready to duel. "Man you look like somthing from a zombie movie"said Shinzo to his opponet.

“The Grave” didn’t even reply. He held up his arm, and it began to glow as it split in two and appeared more like a duel disk. He drew his first hand and looked at it. He draws another card signifying he was going to make the first move. He really didn’t say much as he began his turn “Master Kyonshee in attack mode” He says with a sort of groan in his voice as he summons his first monster. Followed up, he slips a card into the spell and trap slots and doesn’t utter another word. Shinzo drew his first card and smiled " ok first I'll play Soul Exchange on you little Kyonshee,followed by offering him to summon my Horus the Black Flame Dragon LV6"said Shinzo as Grave's monster vanished and a metal bird like dragon flew to the field."so far so good i end my trun"said Shinzo with a smirk.

“The Grave” didn’t even show any signs careing that his monster was sacrificed, in fact, all he did was draw his next card. He simply places a monster in face down defense position, and adds 2 cards to his spell and trap slots. After that, he just stands there motionless.

ok Now i'll play Snipe hunter in attack mode" said Shinzo as he drew his card and Deamon gamboler appeired on the field. "ok Now i'll attack with Horus the Black Flame Dragon LV6 attack his face and Snipe hunter go for a direct attack"said Shinzo as his Dragon shot a frieball at the face down card and Snipe hunter shot a rally of numbers at The Grave.

His hand went into the air as he revealed a facedown trap card. “Compulsory Evacuation Device” He uttered as what seemed like a spring loaded canon popped up encasing Hours, then ejecting him back to Shinzo. Regenerating Mummy* was flipped up. Due to the fact that the monster had 1500 defense to match Snipe Hunters 1500 attack, the attack was canceled out. “I Release Regenerating Mummy and summon Ryu Kokki in attack mode” He says forming his first full sentence. Although it sounded deep, depressed, and as though he was a zombie. He hold up his hand and points to Snipe Hunter. “Attack!!!” He shouts as a barrage of skulls fired out at Snipe Hunter, the monster wouldn’t stand a chance, especially since he had no backup lines of defense. "i drew a card and play a face down monster followded by the card Trade-in and i'll discard my majestic mech goryu and drew two cards"said Shinzo as he played a drew 2 cards. "ok i hope this works said Shinzo as he looked at his new cards.
"yes just what i needed" said Shinzo. "Ok now I'll play Shallow grave now we can bring monster back in face down defence"said shinzo as a face monster rose to the field. "my turn end"said Shinzo

When told he could summon a monster from his graveyard in facedown defense, he had started hoping that his opponent was an idiot, afterall, he had just helped out his opponent more so than he did himself. He draws his next card, then holds out his hand. “I play the trap card Reckless Greed*” he says as he draws 2 cards. Looking at his hand, he ponders his strategy for a moment. “I now release my newly re-summoned Master Kyonshee to summon Vampire Lord in attack mode” he says as he looks at his opponents two monsters. “Ryu Kokki, attack the monster summoned with The Shallow Grave.” He orders. Assuming no counters, he then holds his hand up once again. “Now Vampire Lord, attack and destroy his other facedown!!” Once that was done, his movements ceased once again. "Go Sakuretsu Armor"said Shinzo as huge wall of energy egulfed the the skeletal creature destroying it. Shinzo smiled at this" OK this is fun lets go kid"said Shinzo as he got in to the duel.
