RPing and Character Rules
1. Post Length: This is a Yu-Gi-Oh! forum. With this being said, it would be stipid to say all posts must be in paragraphs or your in violation. No, not the case here. In this forums case, posting rules are split into two parts.
Duel Post Rules: Your posts must define WHAT cards you play, and what position. You do not necessilary have to re-iterate every post what position your card is in, but at the bottom be sure to keep tabs. This means EVERY post, this includes mid-turn counters and so forth.
When summoning and attacking, use at least 3 full sentences to describe each event, a massive amount of detail is NOT necessary here.
Non-Duel Post Rules: Post length is not a big deal here. A paragraph by official standards is 5-7 sentences. There will be no concern if you go lower, going higher than this is greatly encouraged.
2. No powerplaying or godmoding: You may wonder how this can be done in a card battle system such as this. It’s a very easy thing to do. You may NOT use cards that are not already in your card inventory or deck, you may not use cards that are outside your hand which is given to you through PM unless a card effect does different for your hand. You also may not control your opponent’s actions, or power play them activating any card without that persons consent. Pretty much the rule is, play fair, and stick to your own cards and strategies without interfering with your opponents.
3. No Mary-sue’s and Gray-stu’s Allowed: Mary-sues and Gray-sues are perfect, and without flawes. Though so to say, this doesn’t mean their dueling skills are up to par with the character, I still say NO BODY will be able to make a character without some characteristic flaw to them. These characters will be declined on sight if found.
4. Single or Multiple Accounts: My suggestion to you, make it one account for ALL your characters. Your name DOES NOT have to be that of your characters, but it can be if you wish. If your one who finds it more organized to have 1 account per character, then do so. Multiple accounts for purposes OTHER then character will be deleted, and the main account warned before account deletion
5.Character Cap: There is none for Original Characters (OC’s) but your limited to 3 canons of your choosing. Remember, each character may possess up to 10 decks, no more.
6. Spelling and Grammar: Ok, to be honest, I am NOT the best out there when it comes to spelling and grammar, so i cannot be stern about this rule. Proper spelling and grammar is a MUST!! If your like me, and do not do that great a job posting in the message boxes in proboards, then use a word document if you have it, or switch to Fire Fox and at least get proper spelling.
